Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej or now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to score a 10 for an Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics instructor, who later became the coach for Comaneci, first discovered Comaneci when she was just six years old. Comaneci was the first to compete for time in the 1969 national junior championships, placing 13th. In the following year, she became champion. In her 1972 first international competition that was an Olympic-style junior preolympic competition for nations in the Communist bloc, she won 3 gold medals. And in 1973 and 1975 she was named the all-around Junior Champion. She took home four gold medals and one silver medals in her first international competition for seniors which took place in the year 1975. This was the first time she participated as an adult. In 1976, she was the world's first woman to use a backwards-double salto to dismount from the parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager she started appearing on traveling shows like Ice Capades as a skater along with her younger sibling Nina Wayne. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol started her career in entertainment in her teens. She began her professional career by performing figure skating alongside Nina Wayne, her younger sister in one of the touring entertainment shows Ice Capades. They featured staged ice skating performances.
